Background
Meccanica Vimercati s.r.l. was founded in 1976 as a workshop specialising in high-precision machining (turning, milling and grinding) for third parties, producing special parts for various industrial sectors (energy, machine tools, petrochemical, packaging, etc.)
Over the last twenty years, we have also become specialised in producing transmission parts of various kinds. We design and produce bearing cages, counter-rollers and special bearings, as well as transmission couplings for lifting systems and the heavy industry.
Its constant pursuit of state-of-the-art technology is one of Meccanica Vimercati’s strengths; indeed, the production department is fitted with the latest generation CNC machinery and equipment.

Lorenzo Vimercati is the managing partner of Meccanica Vimercati Srl, a family business he joined in 1998 upon deciding to leave behind his law studies to devote himself fully to the working world. Founded in 1976, Meccanica Vimercati is equipped to produce precision mechanical parts of all kinds.
Between 2010 and 2012, he served on the Board of Directors of Cernusco Verde, an affiliate company of the Municipality of Cernusco sul Naviglio, providing urban waste collection and maintenance services in the local area.
In 2014, he became co-founder and partner at Ulock Srl, an innovative start-up that designs, manufactures and sells keyless, GPS-trackable bike and motorcycle locks, which can be controlled by smartphones using an App.
He has held the following roles in Assolombarda: Adda Martesana Area President of the Area-Based Organisation from 2010 to 2020, member of the governing board from 2013 to 2014, member of the Small Enterprise Committee and the Mechatronics Group since February 2015. Member of the General Board since 2010. Representative of the following production chains since 2020: Agri-food, Energy Sustainable Global Chain, Attractions & Hospitality.
He has been a member of the General Board of Federmeccanica since 2018.
